For the crafters out there we have lovely communities we can join. Two of my favorites thus far are:

Ravelry... ahhh yer of course. (search for SimoneQdM) Its run by two amazing entrepreneurs and you still have to be invited to join... server and bandwidth reasons I suspect. They are planning to make it so you don't need to be invited. For now you can go on the waiting list.

Burda

Burdastyle.com. Three words: OPEN SOURCE PATTERNS. eeek.

Ravelry rocks! I haven't gotten into Burdastyle yet but only because I just got my sewing machine back from being serviced. Can you believe? Three sewing machines in this house and not one of them sewed properly!

I have a cheap "starter" sewing machine should do me until I can afford a nicer one. I haven't sewn anything for burda style yet, I have mostly been repairing clothes since i got it. But there are a couple of patterns i absolutly love in burdaS. Need to put some time aside.
